Saving a link from your laptop

On desktop, paste the URL into the Save composer — or hit the /save deep link with the URL as a query parameter.

Direct answer

Open recall.flocci.in, paste any URL into the Save composer, and Recall resolves the page's real title, author, publisher and cover image through the platform's own oEmbed or Open Graph record, files it under the right content type, and starts building the AI understanding in the background.

Step by step

  1. Copy the link. Any URL works — a YouTube watch page, an Instagram reel, a Substack post, an Amazon product, a Maps pin.
  2. Paste it into the composer. The Save composer accepts a bare URL, a block of text with a URL buried in it, or text with no URL at all.
  3. Add a personal note if it helps. Your own note is stored as fact and is never overwritten by AI regeneration.
  4. Save. The card appears in about a hundred milliseconds with a heuristic understanding; the AI summary, takeaways and keywords graft on a few seconds later.

Questions about this method

Is there a browser extension?

Not today. The /save deep link accepts a URL, title and text as query parameters, which is enough to build a bookmarklet, and the same endpoint powers the mobile share seams.

What happens if the page blocks metadata fetching?

The save still succeeds. Recall builds the card from the URL itself and whatever the AI pass can infer, and marks how much of the original is previewable rather than pretending it has more than it does.
