Saving a thought that has no link
Type it. Text with no URL becomes a note — stored whole, searchable word by word, and never rewritten by AI.
Type or share any block of text with no link in it and Recall files it as a note: platform 'Note', no URL, and the entire body stored as a user transcript so every word is searchable. Notes render as ruled-paper cards, and regeneration is forbidden from overwriting the body — your words stay your words.
Step by step
- Open the Save composer. On desktop it is the composer; on a phone it is the floating action button and bottom sheet.
- Type the thought. No URL needed. A sentence, a list, a phone number, a half-formed idea.
- Save it. Recall stores the full text and indexes every word of it, then adds topics and keywords around it.
Questions about this method
Can AI rewrite my note?
No. A note's body is stored as a user transcript and the regeneration path is explicitly forbidden from overwriting it. AI may add topics and keywords around your note, never in place of it.
What if my text has a link buried inside it?
Then Recall extracts the URL and captures that, keeping the remaining words as your own text alongside it. That is exactly what happens when you share a WhatsApp forward that mixes a message with a link.
